Course Syllabus

Grading: There will be four tests

Test Chapters Date
1 21-25 Friday, September 23
2 26-30 Friday, October 14
3 31-33, 38-39 Friday, November 4
4 34-37, 47-48 Wednesday, December 7

The average of these 4 tests will count as 90% of the final grade and the remaining 10% will be based on completing forum assignments with a passing grade and other possible discussion forum assignments.

Tests will consist of:
  1. objective (T/F, MC) questions (counts as 70% of the test);
  2. a list of 13 legal concepts (from the list of concepts assigned) of which 10 are to be explained. (3 points each = 30% of the test).
  • Department of Business policy is that in addition to grades A, B, C, D and F, grades of Plus (+) are given as follows:
    B+ = 87 or better,
    C+ = 77 or better and
    D+ = 67 or better.
There are no make up or extra credit assignments for this course.

Legal Terminology and Class Notes: The course material is supplemented by Web pages on the World Wide Web accessible through web browsers from the computer labs on campus and through your own personal computer if you have a WWW account off campus.

These web pages also give you the means of contacting the professor via email directly from the WWW along with other information on the course.

Assignments: We begin the course with review of the use of the web in the course and review of the law of contracts and then we will begin the reading assignment with Sales Law and thereafter, we usually cover two new chapters each week.
