BUS447 Business Law ICourse Syllabus for Spring 2006This class is a web based class which involves class discussion rather than lectures. Each class will have an assignment or a test. The correct answers will be discussed during the class and, if you have any questions related to the chapter, we will discuss them. We will then discuss other legal related issues and terminology. The course stresses legal terminology and includes a special Tutorial on the web site to help students better understand what they are reading and discussing. Each student should keep a folder holding all the quizzes and tests to serve as review for the final exam and keep a record of all quiz scores and absences. Attendance Policy: Students who are taking the class are expected to attend all classes that require attendance and to take discussion forum quiz assignments and to submit these assignments on time. Students must take tests within the time frame allocated for the test or they will be given a zero for that test. Students who have more than 3 unexcused absences will lose a half point of their final grade for each excess cut. Excused absences must be documented. A roll call will be taken. Grading: There will be four tests
These 4 tests will count as 70% of the final grade. Tests will consist of objective (T/F, Multiple Choice) questions. A final exam will count as 20%. The final exam will be on Friday, May 5 at 10:30 a.m. in the regular testing room. In class quiz grades and assignments posted on the discussion forum will count as the remaining 10%. There are no make up tests or extra assignments available in this course.
